BLACK DESSERT GRAPES

The Alphonse Lavallée


Very long (25 mm long) and large berries which are black, spherical and a little lumpy with a flattened base, a thin skin and not very fleshy pulp.

Ripens during the second period, two weeks after the Chasselas.

The clones : 319, 797, 798, 857.

The Cardinal

Spherical or slightly ovoid berries which are very large (20-25 mm long), reddish-pink to dark pink going towards violet with a thick skin and a firm and fleshy pulp.

Ripens during the firs period.

The clones : 80, 81, 82, 83, 84, 85, 86, 87.


The Muscat of Hamburg

Elliptical, fairly big (15-20 mm long) berries with a fine bluish-black colour and a very good bloom, which are juicy with a pronounced muscat taste.

Ripens during the second period 2-3 weeks after the Chasselas.

The clones : 193, 194, 195, 196, 197, 198, 199, 200, 202, 203, 309, 932, 933, 934, 967.


The Prima

 

A cross between Lival and Cardinal.

Black berries with an homogeneous tint.

The harvesting is rapid with not much cutting.

Ripens early, one before the Chasselas.

The clone : 1022


The Ribol

 

A cross between The White Olivette and Alphonse Lavallée.

Elongated and black berries which are well-detached and fleshy with a resistant skin and with a beautiful appearance.

The grapes keep well on the plant.

It is resistant to cold temperatures.

Ripens during the third period, about three weeks after that of Alphonse Lavallée.
